Meet Pasqualina. As you enter her home the perfume of flour and eggs fill the air. Pasqualina has been making fresh pasta for the restaurants and markets of Paola for over 50 years. She learned from her mother who learned from her mother before her. It has been a tradition amongst the woman in her family. She tells me she makes her pasta with her "whole heart". This is why she believes that added passion makes her pasta better than the rest.

Meet Dino and Vincenzo. They have been working together as fishermen for "as long as they can remember". Every morning before the sun rises, they both embark together on their route for the best catch. They used to leave after the sun would set…

Meet Dino and Vincenzo. They have been working together as fishermen for "as long as they can remember". Every morning before the sun rises, they both embark together on their route for the best catch. They used to leave after the sun would set, but as they got older it became easier to go to bed early. They tell me that they are "men of the sea", as they have spent more time on the ocean than on land.
